A Summer Wedding Revisited

bouquet

Most often when doing wedding flowers we are working against the clock and it is a miracle if we manage to snap off one or two  photos of the bouquets, so it is a lovely treat when our newly weds share with us some of their photos of the big day.

This gorgeous and unusual  wedding bouquet with it’s varied forms and textures was given a traditional twist with a binding of beautiful antique lace.

Wedding Bells

For Adriana’s pretty March wedding, sparkling glass bell jars enclosed sweet little  flower tableaux in peach, ivory and mint tones.

Jars of roses, hydrangea, berries and sliver suede were interspersed with fluffy puffs of gypsophila, and the bell jars, each with it’s own unique creation inside, along the long tables creating a magical scene.

Heide wedding

white bouquet

Bethany’s wedding was on the day after valentines day….. a challenge to say the least!  Would there be enough flowers left in Melbourne after the busiest day of the year?

Beth was pretty relaxed about the flower choice as long as they were seasonal and in the white and green palette.

jars

As it turned out we were spoilt for choice with  freesia, bouvardia, veronica, tweedia, dahlia, queen anne’s lace, snow berry and hydrangea all available at market.

The reception was held at Café Vue Heide at the Heide Museum of Modern Art surrounded by the gorgeous gardens and sculpture park and decorated with jars of seasonal flowers.
