Sweet November

November in Melbourne is the official start of the (all too short)  peony season and so it was only fitting that 1st of November Bride Audrey, should carry glorious white peonies in her bouquet. With white sweet peas, Queen Anne’s lace, nigela and  the first of the season’s David Austin roses it was a soft, sweet smelling delight.

This is the reason that so many brides plan their weddings for this time of the year.

Colour Pop

August bride Belinda wanted some gorgeous blooms to bring pops of colour into her special day. Her bouquet was vibrant fuschia and tangerine tones while her bridesmaid had peaches, dusty pink and creams.

The florals celebrate the hight of late winter’s bounty…stocks, delphinium, snapdragons, sweet pea, poppies, ranunculus and euphorbia. Along with rosemary,  jasmine, peppercorns and garden roses the arrangements had a relaxed, fun feel to them.

Mason jars were nestled among foliage for the reception.

A Summer Wedding Revisited

bouquet

Most often when doing wedding flowers we are working against the clock and it is a miracle if we manage to snap off one or two  photos of the bouquets, so it is a lovely treat when our newly weds share with us some of their photos of the big day.
