Alex was organising her friend’s hen’s night and declared “No tacky veils!”
So this beautiful flower crown of the palest green cymbidium orchids and purple hydrangea with a touch of dodder vine was to adorn the bride -to-be at this sophisticated soirée.

David Austin Roses

peach and mintWithout doubt David Austin roses have been the most requested bridal flower of the year….. And it’s easy to see why.David Austin rosesThey are not only impossibly pretty but have a heavenly fragrance… Each colour has a different perfume.David Austin 2As a solo act or mixing happily with other seasonal flowers we have used them in bouquets, head garlands, buttonholes and centre pieces and they are always a joy to behold.blue moon

David Austin roses will be in season until about mid April but they are very popular so early ordering is a must.

Shades of white

When Melbourne photographer Zosia Fabijanska ordered a headpiece for a photo shoot the brief was simply “shades of white….. and a bit twiggy”
Perfect timing for viburnum’s short season of flowering, with freesia, spray roses, blushing bride and silver birch sprigs and catkins.

Winter Wedding Winter Flowers

winter bouquet

This Winter bride wanted to embrace the season and chose a rich wintery palette for her bouquet.

Gorgeous purple kale and velvety burgundy cymbidiums combined with deep blue hyacinths, red freesia and red berries.

Circlet Florale

Inspired by the bride’s floral crown – A Crowning Glory, November 10th’s post – Lucy ordered a simpler style in heirloom colours for a rural wedding she was to attend.

Grandiflora’s antique and honeymoon rose varieties, together with a touch of kalmia and a sprig of copper beech give this floral crown a lovely old fashioned look.
